The three-part survey (click links above to see the results) took place online between February 7 and April 7, 2007. In addition to this page, we presented the survey results in Cartographic Perspectives (No. 57, Spring 2007, pp. 52-63) and at the 2007 NACIS conference in St. Louis.

Our thanks go out to the 322 survey participants from 24 countries who took the time to share their views on map design.
